Asshole (also less commonly known as Presidents & Assholes, President, Scum, Capitalism, Schlub and other names), an Americanized drinking game version of Dai Hin Min, is a drinking game for three or more in which players race to get rid of all of the cards in their hands in order to become President in the following round. There are countless variants of this game.Things needed to play (Equipment):

• 3 - 7 people
• A table and chairs
• A deck of cards or Drinking Decks Asshole Cards (coming soon)
• Plenty of drinks

Instructions:

The Asshole (the person to place last in the previous round, see below) shuffles and deals the cards. All the cards are dealt, until none are left, in clockwise rotation. The player on the dealer’s left begins by leading any card, or set of matching cards, though in some house rules the player with a certain card always leads. The player to their left may then play any card(s) with a higher “poker value” or may pass. For example, if the first player throws an ace, then the second player may play a pair of 3s. Five card poker hands such as straights, flushes, or full houses may not be played as they lack any meaning in the game. The next player may do the same, and so on. This continues until all players pass at which point the last person to play cards leads the next trick and may begin the trick with any card or set of cards.

Game Play:

• A two (2) card is “clear”, meaning all played cards are removed by the asshole, and the person playing the 2 starts again
• A four (4) card is a “social”, meaning all players must drink. This card may be played on any card or combination of cards. The following player must play on the card(s) placed down preceding the four (4)
• If a player passes, he or she must drink and will have another chance when their turn comes up again.
• When a player matches the rank of the previously played card, the next player’s turn is skipped. A skipped player must drink. EX: A 3 is played on a 3 next player is skipped, when two 3s are played on a 3 then next two players are skipped.
• If at anytime a player can complete a set of 4 matching cards, the deck must be cleared by the asshole. The person who completed the set gets another turn and may play any card or set of matching cards. For example, if the last three cards played are all 8s, then whomever has the 4th 8 may act out of turn and lay their 8. In the end, the game behavior resumes as if a 2 was thrown such that they player who completed the set gets an addition turn, and the player to his/her left is not skipped.
• President - The winner of the previous round. He or she has the power to add rules to the game. Some variants only allow the President to make one rule during each term (hand), or only allow Presidents to make rules after winning a certain number of hands, usually about 3. A Presidential rule stays in effect until a future Presidential rule repeals or contradicts it.
• Asshole - Last place in the previous round (may wear beer case on head saying “Asshole”). He or she is the “whipping boy” of the game but is allowed to give out drinks while shuffling and dealing the cards for the next hand. The Asshole also clears cards from the game when needed. In some rules, if another player does the job of the asshole, that player has to drink or is penalized in some other way. Also, any players who touch their cards before the asshole touches his/her own, must drink.
